Laboratory Animal Research (Lab Anim Res)는 한국실험동물학회의 공식 학술지로, 1985년 제1호 발간 후 현재까지 실험동물분야의 최신 연구 결과를 발표해 오고 있다. 본 학술지는 2007년 연구재단 등재학술지로 선정된 이래, 2011년 PubMed^® 와 PubMed Central^® 등재와 함께 Open access journal로 변모하였다. 2019년부터는 세계적인 출판 그룹인 Springer Nature사의 BioMed Central을 통하여 발행을 개시하여, 매 논문 Accept 후 실시간으로 출판하게 되었으며, 온라인 저널을 묶어 연 4회 (6월 30일, 8월 31일, 10월 31일, 12월 31일) 발행한다.

Laboratory Animal Research is the official journal of The Korean Association for Laboratory Animal Science (KALAS). Laboratory Animal Research is an open access, peer-reviewed journal that considers articles on all aspects of in vivo studies with model organisms including genetics, behaviour, disease models, bioinformatics, and omics (phenomics, genomics, and metabolomics). Articles include original research and review about basic and applied laboratory investigations, letters and case reports, as well as informed and thoughtful opinions relevant to the humane care and use of laboratory animals.

The publication charges for Laboratory Animal Research are covered by the Korean Association for Laboratory Animal Science, so authors submitting do not have to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC).
